A story of three Warsaw high school graduates, a class of 1938, who are full of magnificent plans for the future, hopes and dreams about their adult life. Protagonists however enter their maturity when Poland faces the invasion of the Nazis. They must confront a harsh reality, which provides a difficult lesson of patriotism.

Protagonists are depicted after the friends of the film’s scriptwriter.
