After splitting from his fiancée Marcin, young photographer moves into a dilapidated apartment house in the Warsaw district of Praga. The building's owner commissions him to make photos illustrating a disastrous condition of the property. While photographing his neighbors and surroundings of the house, Marcin discovers a new world which slowly begins to fascinate him. Charmed by his neighbor-a voluptuous hairdresser Hanka B., he lands up on the black list of Rysiek, a hot-tempered criminal who lives with Hanka.
Also, Marcin receives unusual proof of liking from a local red-haired rascal. The events completely change Marcin's life, bringing him new friends and enemies.
